Home and Happy

Cady June is home and doing well! Lilah and I are a little rough around the edges, but that is to be expected. But we couldn't be happier and are nothing but smiles and baggy eyes.

Looking back at our birthing experience, it was just great! People will knock a military hospital, but I have to point out that as you review the pictures, note how there are no less than three and sometimes up to 5 nurses in the room!

And a HUGE HUGE HUGE special props to Erica Schilling; we've called her a friend since the day we met her and boy howdy what a friend she is. Erica works in the OB ward and of course that's always been reassuring to both Lilah and I; and even though it was her day off, she came to the labor room with her hubby, scrubbed in, and stayed by Lilah's side throughout. She was a voice of experience where we had none, and thank you's just don't say enough. All the nurses were exceptional, each and every one. But Erica was everything we could hope for and more.

Some added pictures below from the Tuesday event. We have some new ones in the camera, but sleep deprivation is kicking my butt and downloading photos has been low on the list.

To everyone who has left such kind comments and well wishes, thank you from both of us! We look forward to barraging you with cuteness in the very near future.

Yeah more pictures and stories!
Nothing better than a well trained doula you trust and the nurse part doesn't hurt either.
